Spring Edit: I LOVE Pastels!

I know it's still pretty cold outside, but with the end of February near and with March around the corner I thought it would be very appropriate to do a 'spring season' inspired post sharing my love for pastel fashion! The probability of it being dreary, cold and blustery this March is undoubtedly high, but there is no stopping fashion brands from bringing out all those gorgeous garments that define SPRING FASHION. I've been browsing so many high-street and couture stores recently and there are literally so many beautiful pastel shaded clothes out there for this coming season! The plan is to move away from the cranberry/burgundy winter hues and usher towards the pastels whatever the spring weather brings! Here are some of my current favourites I am sharing with you below, and I will sure do a haul post of any pastel garments I do purchase this spring 2014!

Just to clarify...I know there were a couple of oversized boyfriend coats and layering knitwear that endorsed the pastel palette this autumn/winter, but there is no better time to wear pastels in full swing than the spring! So let's move on past pastel winter layering shall we...

CURRENT OBSESSIONS/FAVOURITES...

Pastel must haves

Pastel garments are all about wearing shades of lights/baby pinks, mint greens, duck egg blue's and a little hint of spring yellow. I absolutely adore all these pastel colours and find pastel's not only perfect for the spring but rather sensual and feminine for any woman to wear. Before stepping into the summer with a wardrobe full of bright and luminous colours, these spring pastels are perfect for adding that little depth of spring/summer colour to your wardrobe gently.

NEW LOOK: PINK SLEEVELESS PEPLUM - £8.99
This sophisticated peplum top would look great with a classic white pencil skirt or pair of denim jeans. I think the colour is perfect for the spring and can be accentuated with a bejewelled statement neck-piece for a night out.

LORD AND TAYLOR: ERIN STRAPPY STILETTOS - £78.00
How gorgeous are these Lord & Taylor strappy's? The neutral/nude undertone allows these versatile stilettos to be paired with almost anything. They are perfectly chic and would look great on the feet this spring.

MISS SELFRIDGE - FLOWER PASTEL CHAIN NECKLACE - £17.00
This is an all time favourite neck piece that oozes 'spring femininity' like no other. It's minimalist design and pastel shades make it ideal for the coming season, and would look fabulous against a simple white top/collarless blouse.

TED BAKER - ROMANTIC TIMELESS JEANS, LIGHT PINK - £55.00
Whenever I think of the spring I automatically correlate the season with all those blossoming flowers. Hence why these pair of jeans would be perfect for the season. I love the floral print against a pearl pink backdrop!

MISS SELFRIDGE: PASTEL FLOWER STUD EARRINGS - £8.99
Paired with the statement neck piece listed above, these stud earrings will finish off the look perfectly! Again, they are very dainty and floral, but given the design and colours I think they would be ideal.

STEVE MADDEN: MARLENEE MINT GREEN HEELS - £60.00
Ankle strappy's have been hot in fashion for a while now and they are certainly not going anywhere. These lush mint green heels would look great with those floral print skinny's or even a chic spring dress. I absolutely love these!

RIVER ISLAND: GOLD TONE PASTEL FLOWER STATEMENT RING - £4.00
I very rarely wear rings, but I particularly like the floral design of this ring, which would add that bit of colour to the hands. Given the pastel shades it will not look extremely obvious on the hand either.

RIVER ISLAND: YELLOW PADDED SHOULDER TANKER TOP - £25.00
Initially, I thought yellow may be too much of a bright colour - more appropriate for the summer. However, this daffodil shaded tanker top is perfect for the spring and would look fabulous when paired with a pair of denims or a leather mini skirt.

OUTNET.COM: BALMAIN LOW RISE SKINNY JEANS - £130.00
Mint green is one of my favourite pastel shades of the season, which is why I could not resist adding these pair of skinny jeans to my must-have list! I love the fact you can pair these with almost any colour, from pastel pink, white, to duck egg blue.

MANGO: SHIRT DRESS LIGHT PASTEL PINK - £30.00
This light pastel pink shirt dress is ideal to wear with any pair of stiletto's enlisted above. It's perfect day-wear and evening wear, and when paired with a classic pastel tote handbag and those shoes, I think this look will come together as something super chic and sensual for the spring.
